Posing Nude for Sylvie Blum.
“Beautiful model Vel Jones came to the studio and worked with me. It was a wonderful day, we all had so much fun working on my billboard shoot. We all were impressed by our wonderful model, working hard that day. enjoy….” - Sylvie Blum
I have been blessed to work with photographer, Sylvie Blum several times. I didn’t think it was possible but every time we get together plus some extra brilliance from makeup/hairstylist, Jacqui Jordan, I get to frolic a bit in heaven.
Sylvie has a to-be-incredible art showing in April at the critically lauded Fahey/Klein Gallery and we shot the following as promotion for it.
Enjoy!

We struck gold in the past when we shot this other video as promotion for Sylvie’s art nude book, Naked Beauty in stores now! See a little more of what we do: Naked Beauty Video

I am hearing a lot today about Lindsay Lohan’s new US Playboy spread. I have seen the photos. Meh. Marilyn. Red Lips. Bleached Hair. It has all been done before. I do have to say her breasts looked fantastic but that is neither here nor there.
I am not a fan of US Playboy. Most who know me know that. It is watered down tripe. Boring, repetitive, and just plain sucky. Hand me some international versions of this same mag and let’s talk! However, I was excited to learn that famed photographer Yu Tsai was to shoot Lohan’s spread. He is dope in his simplicity. I am a fan. But, just as I had anticipated, one cannot escape the strict unimaginative confines of US Playboy. [There are exceptions. Herb Ritts has to do with all of them, obviously.]
Blah. Blah. Blah. I’m just going to say the photos suck.
I was so uninspired by them that I had to look again at prior work that Yu Tsai and Lindsay Lohan had done together and I stumbled across this video. NOW, we are talking. I had forgotten about this shoot that they did for Muse last year. FUCKING SPOT ON. This is what I like to see.
I have attached for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.
